Trainee Fundraiser Internship
Six month temporary contract
30 hours per week within normal office hours
GRADE A – £15,207 per annum pro rata
Gloucester Museums Service is seeking to acquire a trainee fundraiser on a six month internship to work closely with the Museum Manager and Gloucestershire Museum Development Officer, researching and writing funding applications in order to secure grants for improvements to the service.
The role will involve: Identifying suitable funding opportunities, undertaking research as appropriate, write tailored applications, addressing priorities or requirements as specified by individual funding organisations, in order to optimise the chances of success, follow up applications and build relationships with representatives of funding organisations, maintain accurate records, undertake training as appropriate and as agreed with the Museums Manager
Educated to A level or degree, an appreciation of our cultural heritage and a love of museums, excellent communication and research skills, able to read and understand large amounts of formal written material, and extract information easily, able to write concisely with attention to detail, good time management, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude, willingness to learn.
Due to funding restrictions for this internship, we can only accept applications from people aged between 18 and 24 who are currently receiving Job Seekers Allowance or Universal Credit.
