Museum Development Project Officer
Salary: £20,627 – £21,991 per annum (Scale H)
30 hours per week temporary contract until 31 March 2018

The Shirehall Museum is looking for a Museum Development Project Officer with experience in supporting museums to develop, manage and sustain their collections to improve user services. The successful candidate must be able to provide professional support and advice on the Museum Accreditation Standard, as wells encourage museums to achieve agreed standards in managing their collections effectively for the benefit of their users.
The Museum Development Project Officer will be responsible for successfully developing and implementing collections focused projects that develop workforce skills to improve collections management, care and access. They will provide professional advice to accredited museums and those working towards Accreditation. The successful candidate must be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
The role will be based in Norwich, however the successful candidate would be expected to travel across the region, to meet the needs of museums and to build relationships with regional and local partners and stakeholders.
