Regional Museum Development Manager
Salary: £30,178 – £31,846 per annum
Full Time Fixed term contract running until 31 March 2018

The Shirehall Museum is looking for a Regional Museum Development Manager with experience of leading projects that support museums to become more resilient and innovative organisations. The successful candidate should be able to provide effective leadership to promote the Museum Accreditation advisory service,as well as encourage museums to achieve agreed standards in managing their collections effectively for the benefit of their users

SHARE Museums East is the regional museum development programme managed and delivered by Norfolk Museums Service. The SHARE Team works closely with county based Museum Development Officers to provide support and promote skills sharing to museums across the East of England. The programme is supported with public funding from Arts Council England and regional partners.

The Regional Museum Development Manager will be responsible for the strategic management, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the Museum Development programme for the region and for advocating for museums to key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with strong financial and project management skills as well as a broad practical knowledge of issues effecting the museum sector.

Though based in Norwich, the role will include travelling across the region, to meet the needs of museums and to build relationships with regional and local partners and stakeholders.
