Museums of Cheshire Fundraising Training Day: Wednesday 16th December 2015

With funding from Arts and Philanthropy, the Museums of Cheshire have arranged a day of fundraising training on Wednesday 16th December.

The day will include talks from:

  • Hilary Machell, Business Development and Fundraising Manager at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery, Preston. who will look at who to target, what messages are appropriate and basic legal considerations of legacies, as well as offering some case studies.
  • Marilyn Scott, Director of The Lightbox, Woking, who will look at how to develop an efficient board, utilising both trustees and staff to maximise the potential of an organisation to fundraise successfully.
  • Howard Lake, Founder of UK Fundraising, who will demonstrate the ways in which you can use digital tools and channels to enhance and extend your existing fundraising activities.

There are a limited number of free places left for museums in the North West. If you would like to come please contact Frank at Norton Priory. Places are limited to a maximum of two per organisation and are offered on a first come, first served basis!
