Due to issues caused by the severe weather conditions in Cumbria, Abbot Hall is no longer able to host our “Is Accreditation suitable for my museum?” workshop on 7 March.
The event which will now be held at The Quaker Tapestry in Kendal, will still take place on 7 March.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Have you heard about the Accreditation Scheme and are not sure what it is? Are you considering applying for Accreditation but are not sure if your museum is suitable? On Monday 7 March, at The Quaker Tapestry in Kendal, Museum Development North West will be hosting an event discussing this topic.
The Accreditation Scheme sets nationally agreed standards for UK museums. Museum Development North West is running a workshop where non-Accredited museums and heritage organisations in the North West can find out about the scheme, including:
- What it is
- Why it’s important
- What the benefits are
- What’s involved in applying for and maintaining Accreditation
- Why not all museums are suitable
- Where to get help and support
