Sport in Museums Network Conference 2016

The Sport in Museums Network Conference for 2016 is set to take place on 11 February at Assembly Hall, County Hall, Nottingham.

This event, which will focus on the question Why does sporting heritage matter, aims to raise our understanding about activity which has taken place in the UK which demonstrates sporting heritage has impact. The ‘impact’ may be connected with increasing visitors to heritage venues, raising knowledge about sporting collections, encouraging new sports participation, or supporting a new area of work for a museum to develop.
