Salary: £30,738 to £37,768

In February 2015 the Whitworth, part of the University of Manchester, reopened as an expanded gallery in the park. With new exhibition galleries, collections and study centre, learning studio, Grand Hall and beautiful art garden, they are a transformed gallery. In their first year they have welcomed more than 450,000 visitors, they have also been crowned Museum of the Year and won a national RIBA award for our beautiful building.

The Whitworth are recruiting a Policy and Strategy Liaison Officer to work directly with the Director, Maria Balshaw, to support her wide portfolio of work as Director of the Whitworth, Director of Manchester City Galleries and Director of Culture for Manchester City Council.

The successful candidate will be working to support Maria across her University and City Council locations, this will be a demanding role, offering flexible support to the Director across a wide range of Cultural policy, research and strategic areas.
