National Trust are looking for a new curator to join their team. This exciting role offers you a unique opportunity to help them to look after one of the most comprehensive historic collections in the world alongside a range of impressive buildings and beautiful landscapes. The Curator will play a central role in interpreting these special places and creating engaging and inspiring experiences for visitors.

Based either at the Regional Office in Altrincham or Grasmere the curator will work on four portfolios which include our Liverpool properties, Dunham Massey, Quarry Bank and Sizergh. Within these portfolios there are a fantastic range of places, from a castle in Cumbria, an industrial heritage site in Cheshire, to the Beatles’ Childhood homes in Liverpool. As part of the national consultancy, there will also be opportunities to work in other areas.

In this challenging but rewarding role the successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop experiences which engage, move and inspire those who visit National Trust properties. They will build strong collaborative relationships with NT property staff to support them in the care and presentation of buildings, interiors and collections. They will also offer a curatorial eye to their landscape, building and infrastructure projects to ensure that there is historic integrity in all that they do.
