They are looking for a qualified marketer to join their growing team. The marketing officer should be a fluent communicator with strong copywriting skills, experience in digital marketing and an ability to plan and deliver high profile marketing campaigns.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the arts, heritage or tourism sectors and will be able to balance multiple priorities. An understanding of PR and working with the media is desirable.

Masterplan Coordinator
Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester

The Museum of Science and Industry are recruiting a Masterplan Coordinator to join their Exhibitions and Masterplan Team who will be instrumental in the effective delivery of the MSI Masterplan.

2018 will see the delivery of MSI’s first two major projects – a new Special Exhibition Gallery, which will create a new facility for special exhibitions in three grade 1 listed buildings right at the heart of the museum’s historic site, and Cottonopolis – the first in a series of four major collections based galleries. The programme of projects is ambitious, so alongside this they are initiating further gallery collection based and interactive gallery projects, involving feasibility studies, fundraising and project initiation.

The successful candidate will have experience of project work, administration and working with a range of stakeholders you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the Masterplan team as well as the delivery of the MSI Masterplan.

The Museum of Science & Industry require that the candidate has excellent communication and coordination skills, a strong design eye and the ability to interrogate complex information. They will be capable of proactively contributing to the team, and ensuring that all work is produced to tight deadlines.

The masterplan coordinator will support the success of these prestigious projects, helping to build the Museum’s reputation for excellence through supporting the delivery of high quality, masterplan projects.

Individual Giving Executive Audience Fundraising
Science Museum Group: Based at Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester or National Railway Museum, York
Salary: £23,000 to £26,000, dependent on experience

The Science Museum Group are looking for an enthusiastic Individual Giving Executive who can motivate their highly successful teams of Visitor Fundraisers, empowering them to provide a world-class visitor experience and to convert visitors into both donors and advocates for their charitable work

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in raising vital, unrestricted funding for the Group and will have remit over Visitor Giving and audience fundraising, both onsite and online, across two of our museums – so we’re looking for a confident self-starter capable of delivering against significant financial targets.

Working proactively, the individual giving executive will find innovative ways to engage with our diverse audiences. They will coach and train The Museum Group’s Visitor Fundraisers, to ensure that they continue maintain momentum and realise their targets. They will also be responsible for increasing the group’s unrestricted income online and will need to develop new ways for us to engage their audiences with their charity message.

The role is based at either the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, or the National Railway Museum in York, with weekly travel across the Science Museum Group.
