The Art Fund’s bursaries will give curators unlimited access to selected events and venues across the festival.
Art Fund Curator Workshop, 14th July, 14:00 – 16:30, ICA, London
The Art Fund Curator Workshop, led by Kathy Noble, responds to the context and challenges of Art Night as a festival showcasing temporary cross-disciplinary projects outside traditional institutional spaces. Taking Art Night as a point of departure for further discussion, this workshop will focus on the role of public art; notions of site-specificity; non-traditional spaces for presenting works of art; audience engagement and the accessibility of unused spaces, amongst several other related subjects. Attendees will be asked to consider questions on these topics in advance.
Applications are open to all museum and gallery professionals who work with public collections, and all applicants must be available to attend both Art Night and the Art Fund Curator Workshop.
To apply please send Art Fund answers of no more than 300 words (in total) to the following questions:
- What projects have you worked on that have taken place outside the gallery or incorporated unusual locations and why?
- What do you think the purpose of these types of events is in your location?
- What do you think artists and audiences can gain from these kinds of projects?
Please email your application to email@example.com with ‘Art Night’ in the subject line by Friday 24th June at 12noon.
