Crawley Museum are looking to recruit a museum manager to work in conjunction with the Crawley Museum Society Trustees to develop and deliver the business plan objectives and strategy for the museum and establish initiatives to fulfil the longer-term vision for the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the commercial development of the new Crawley Museum in a historic building in the town centre. Years of planning and substantial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Crawley Borough Council have enabled the Crawley Museum Society to organise the move to its prime central site at 103 High Street, ready to open to the public at the end of 2016.
They are looking for a bright and highly motivated individual with excellent business and marketing skills to deliver the income targets for the new museum and ensure the success of the project in the very productive environment of central Crawley where the shopping footfall is very impressive.
The successful candidate will be expected to maximise income in the context of a successful and excitingly designed new museum. He / she will have excellent business and marketing skills and relish the opportunity to help to realise the ambitious growth plans for the museum, whilst developing his / her career in the economic powerhouse of West Sussex.
