Assistant Outreach Officer (Live Well Project) x2 posts

Discovery Museum are looking to recruit 2 Assistant Outreach Officers to assist in running the Live Well programme and to work closely with the outreach team at Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums (TWAM). 

Live Well programme is a National Museums Northern Ireland and Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums partnership project, supported by the Big Lottery Fund under their Accelerating Ideas funding stream. 

The project will offer museum-focussed learning opportunities to disadvantaged older people, who do not normally engage with museums, with the aim of improving their health and wellbeing. It builds on an earlier NMNI project – Live and learn.

The successful candidate will have a people focussed attitude, be experienced in delivering activities and projects with disadvantaged older people in community settings and have experience of working (employed or voluntary) within a museum or cultural environment.
