Update from Alex Walker, MA rep for the North West
The Museums Association has funding from ACE for continuation of the very successful Transformers programme. The MA is in discussions with Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland – aiming to have representatives from all four nations on the programme this year. Conference & Exhibition

MA will also be running the annual student membership campaign in the September and will be looking to repeat last year’s successful offer to smaller museums. More information to follow soon.

MDNW Funding Fair
There will be an MA desk at the annual Funding Fair, which will be held at the People’s History Museum, Manchester, on Thursday 22 September. I shall be happy to answer questions about the MA, the AMA as well as about funding programmes. Do come along and say hello and let me know what you think the MA should be doing.
NW Members’ Meeting
