Making the Most of your Local History – CPD event

Historic England’s Heritage Schools Programme in partnership with Museums Development North West are set to host a CPD event looking at “Making the Most of your Local History”

Heritage Schools is a national programme, funded by the Department for Education, to support schools and heritage partners in using local heritage resources to deliver and enhance the curriculum.

At this event, which will take place on Wednesday 21 September at Prescott Museum, delegates will have the opportunity to:

  • Find out more about Heritage Schools and the free support and resources they offer.
  • Explore archive maps and aerial photos and discover how to use them to unravel the history of your area.
  • Gain hints, tips and ideas for carrying out a local study in your classroom or heritage venue.

If you would like to attend this event, please email Tina Ball at: Tina.Ball@knowsley.gov.uk to register your intention to attend.

Please provide the name(s) of those who will be attending, the name of the school / heritage venue and any dietary or access requirements you have. There are just a few places still available for museums, so please get in touch asap if you would like to come along.
