Heritage Facilitator
Permanent Part Time Contract (12 hours (Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00am – 3.30pm))
Salary: £5,591 per annum

Salford Museum and Art Gallery are looking for a Heritage Facilitator to join their Front of House team.

The Heritage Facilitator will lead on history and art based learning sessions for schools and tours for groups visiting the museum. They will be expected to dress in period costume and interpret the  museum for visitors and groups, as well as to assist with learning visits and with the preparation for school visits including developing and preparing equipment, materials, information and leaflets.They will ensure the delivery of high-quality and consistent customer care for all the visitors at Salford Museum and Art Gallery .

Other aspects of the role include,  reception and shop duties (including cash handling) and distribute information, providing practical support to the Learning, Exhibition and Collection teams, undertaking the delivery of events and activities for visitors and service users.To invigilate galleries and communicate the nature and content of exhibitions to visitors, as well as treating everyone with dignity and respect, and ensuring that customer feedback is valued and fed back into the organisation’s post.
