Job Opportunity: Kiplin Hall

Business and Marketing Manager
Salary: £25,000 FTE
Contract: Part time (32 hours per week, including c. 1 in 3 weekends) permanent
Closing date: 9am on Friday 9th December

About Us: Kiplin Hall is a stunning Jacobean House and grounds in North Yorkshire, originally built for George Calvert, Secretary of State to James I and founder of Maryland, USA.  Since it was built in the early 1620s, it has belonged to four fascinating families, all connected by blood or marriage.  Now furnished as a Victorian home, Kiplin Hall is a great day out where visitors can explore the house, gardens and exhibitions, come along to one of our events, and pop into our shop and tea room for refreshments.

About the role: We are looking for a Business and Marketing Manager to help Kiplin Hall generate new audiences and income opportunities.  Responsible for the Hall’s marketing, fundraising and overseeing our Trading Company operations (our lovely tea room and shop), you’ll be an important part of our team, helping us to bring more visitors to experience this wonderful place and to ensure Kiplin Hall has a sustainable future.  It is an exciting time to take on this role, as we have just been awarded Heritage Lottery Funding for a Marketing Mentor to work with us to develop our marketing, communications and branding.  This role would suit someone with a good foundation of experience in marketing, fundraising and/or income generation, who is ready to develop their skills further by taking on a more strategic role.

How to apply: Please email or call 01748 818178 for more details about the role and how to apply.  The closing date for applications is 9am on Friday 9th December and interviews will be held on Thursday 15th December.
