Link4Life have a really exciting opportunity for a freelance Executive Producer to work with them to develop fundraising and programming for the North West residency of ‘Dippy on Tour’.
In November 2016 the Natural History Museum announced its intention to tour its iconic Diplodocus cast ‘Dippy’ to 8 venues as part of their new strategic focus working nationally to engage audiences with culture, nature and science, inspire a new generation of scientists and build capacity in natural history museums across the UK.
The North West Residency is being delivered by Link4Life (the Rochdale Borough Culture and Leisure Trust which includes Touchstones Museum and Art Gallery) and Rochdale Borough Council. Dippy will be located in Number One Riverside, an award winning customer services building between February and June 2020. Rochdale was selected following a competitive bidding process, which saw 90 venues from across the country apply to host the iconic exhibit.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver an expansive programme of activities in the lead up to and to accompany the residency in order to engage communities both locally and across the North West and leave a legacy long after the project.
