HR Manager
Full time, permanent
Salary £32,470 per annum

These are exciting times to join the Trust on the back of our multi award winning redevelopment of York Art Gallery and with ambitious plans for the future.

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to develop our HR strategy and devise solutions to meet our current and future HR needs, and to provide an effective HR service to the organisation that complies with current legislation and best practice. Additionally, you will support the Chief Executive in change management, where required, ensuring that HR functions are well aligned with the organisation’s strategic priorities.

You will need a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent), as a minimum, together with a solid track record within a senior generalist HR role. Proven ability to contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance is also essential, along with a good understanding of current employment law and best HR practice, and experience of liaising with trade unions.

Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust
Museum Director
£40,000 – £45,000 per annum

The Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic and enterprising person to provide outstanding leadership during a period of change. The post holder will be responsible for continuing the successful development of the Trust’s sites, focusing on community engagement, volunteer programme development, addressing the needs of all customers and improving the visitor experience at all sites.

The successful candidate will be joining the Trust at an exciting and challenging time, with considerable potential to make an impact on the organisation. The Trust’s main site, Kelham Island Museum has undergone another £500,000 HLF funded development project and Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet has just completed a £1m restoration, including a new Learning Centre. There is a growing partnership with Museums Sheffield and the two trusts have formed a Consortium in a bid to be an ACE funded NPO.

Museums Sheffield
Research Curator (British Art 1945-1975)
Salary: £26,000 pro rata
30-hour fixed-term post (12 months) 

Collections and audiences are at the heart of Museums Sheffield. The Research Curator (British Art 1945-1975) will champion access to the Sheffield’s Art collections through research, collections management, displays, events and digital platforms.

The Visual Art collection comprises predominantly British and European Art ranging from the 16th century to the present day. It encompasses over 6000, items including paintings, sculptures and works on paper, of which the most significant area is Modern British Art. This role specifically focuses on researching British Art 1945-1975 in Sheffield’s collection.

The post is supported by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art.
