Job Opportunity: University of Manchester

We are looking for a Project Manager with significant experience in Public Engagement to join our growing team. This is an exciting time to work with us as we embark on a new 5 year programme of work including leading the patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) for the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre and the NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facilities, and supporting public engagement within the University of Manchester.

You will work with us to develop, deliver and evaluate PPIE, ensuring it is meaningfully and effectively integrated into health-related research.

A large part of the role will be managing relationships with clients and members of the public. You will need to draw on knowledge and experience to advise researchers on public engagement and its evaluation.  A key focus of our work is to increase the diversity of our audiences and contributors.

We are looking for a committed team player who is driven to deliver exemplary and innovative work to benefit people and research. Excellent organisational and project management skills are essential.

The start date is April 2017, for a fixed term of 3 years with a view to extension. This role is advertised as 1.0FTE, but we are open to candidates who wish to work part-time.
