Jacquard Legacy Project Officer

£23,472 per annum
Macclesfield Museums are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Project Officer to deliver the exciting Silk and the Jacquard Legacy project. Funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, the project aims to work with varied audiences to explore how Macclesfield’s heritage of creativity and making remains relevant today and provide science and technology based learning opportunities.
The Project Officer will research, digitally document, redisplay and interpret the Jacquard and block printing collections, working with the community and volunteers to support this, including young people as co-curators.
The Project Officer will have collections management experience, have delivered partnership and community engagement programmes, and most importantly be imaginative, creative and inspiring in their approach.
