Salary : £26,052 to £30,175 per annum according to experience

The John Rylands Library is looking for a Visitor Engagement Coordinator (Reception and Retail) to maintain and lead the Library’s retail offer and deliver world-class visitor engagement. With excellent experience of managing a team and managing a retail offer with collections at its heart, you will play a key role in the Library’s welcome and engagement of visitors over a 7 day operation. You will ensure the Library’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is utilised to engage with our audiences and support the delivery of the Library’s public programme in collaboration with the Visitor Engagement Coordinator (Public Programmes). This is a varied role which includes working with colleagues from across The University of Manchester to deliver both visitor engagement and a retail offer in line with Library Strategy.

The John Rylands Library is part of the University of Manchester Library and is also home to the John Rylands Research Institute. It welcomes over 250,000 visitors a year who come to visit our shop, enjoy the building, collections and participate in the Library’s programmes. The Library is also used by researchers and students, who access collections and use the unique surroundings for study.
