Culture Now is a new national network founded with the purpose of supporting mid-career heritage professionals who wish to challenge established thinking and make a change.
Launching in November 2017, Culture Now’s ambition is to create a national network which supports those new to the sector through to mid-level professionals. It is a platform to exchange ideas and develop strong professional connections across the country, whether remotely or in person.
Founded by heritage professionals that recognise the limited opportunities to influence change and comment on the issues that affect us all, Culture Now with funding from Museum Development in the North West and East Midlands want to work collaboratively across the cultural sector to provide a platform to represent, articulate and promote the views and ideas of early to mid-level professionals while supporting and sharing professional development and networking.
Culture Now is looking to grow its professional network and to hear the ideas of people that would like to be involved with the group. At the next North West Volunteer Managers Network Meeting we will be joined by:

The session is also an opportunity to hear from ARUP and us about our new U-Values publication.

From the Manchester LGBT Histories and Cultures Network:
We’d like to invite you to join the Manchester LGBT Histories and Cultures Network, aimed at people who are doing things in this area and who would be interested in meeting other people who are doing things to network, communicate and collaborate.
The first meeting will be on 2nd July 2015 12:00 – 15:00, at the LGBT Foundation, 5 Richmond Street, Manchester. M1 3HF. Lunch will be provided.
The first part of the meeting will be given over to anybody who would like to give a brief update on what they are working on, we’ll then break for lunch and spend the last 30 minutes having a quick discussion on ways in which we might collaborate. We will aim to do this 3-4 times per year, and will alternate these between lunchtime and teatime sessions to try and allow for differing diary commitments.
To that end you are really encouraged to come along and if you could let us know of anybody else within your contacts who may be interested in this network, i.e. people in the city region working in the arts, heritage, film, history, culture etc (people who are doing things and would be interested in meeting other people who are doing things that improve the cultural offer across Greater Manchester.)
